Many disciplines and special skills come together in the repair and maintenance process for electrical motors and generators. Walco uses specialistic equipment and can rely on its many years of experience to obtain the best result. Walco follows various stages in this process.
Mechanical operations for your electrical motors and generators include:
- welding on and spraying on: up to 2,000 mm between the centres
- rotary welding of shafts: 35 mm to 300 mm
- hardness (Vickers): 5 kgf 244
- hot spraying on: 15 mm to 35 mm
- hardness (Vickers): 5 kgf 244
- cold spraying on: 35 mm to 300 mm (bearing tolerances)
- hardness (Vickers): 5 kgf 363
Turning, drilling, milling and slotting
Other machining operations include turning new shafts and shields, conventional turning, drilling and milling and the slotting of keyways. Our department has four lathes with a centre height of 200 mm to 500 mm and a length between centres of 1,150 mm to 2,000 mm.
